Eligibility Criteria for Chinese Government Scholarship 2025
- Nationality: International students/non-Chinese citizens.
- Academic Requirements: Varies for undergraduates, master’s, and PhD applicants.
- Age Limits: for undergraduate studies, students should not be more than 25 years old, for Master’s programs, 35 years old and PhD programs, 40 years old.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must have a Chinese Proficiency of HSK level 3 when applying for the Chinese-taught undergraduate programs. Those applying for Chinese-taught Master’s and PhD degrees must have the Chinese Proficiency of HSK level 4.

Pre-admission letter from the university at the place of destination is another important but not a must-have requirement.
