CV written in English or Chinese: You may include a document with more details of your field of study or research interests, as well as complete this in the respective section on the application (it is a short text and I recommend you to upload an attached file).

Diploma of TOEFL or IELTS if you are going to study in English and the corresponding scores for each type, are indicated by universities based on their admission programmes.

You can also use the English Proficiency certificate, this is where you tender a certificate that your last acquired degree was taught in the English language.

  • At least 2 letters of recommendation from your former university professor written in either English or Chinese.
  • Study and/or research proposal.
  • A copy of your international passport

It is NOT a mandatory requirement for this scholarship, but if you have the HSK diploma (Chinese level), I recommend that you add it.

The Chinese government will provide you with funding for one, or at times two years so that you study the Chinese language until eventually learning adequately for your preferred program.

Nevertheless, if you already hold a degree, your training will cost less money for them (the government) to invest in, which therefore makes it relatively easier than others who went after a Bachelor.

This argument does not stand for English-taught courses, which are all two or three times more popular than those taught in Chinese.

Acceptance letter from Professors in a Chinese university at which you wish to study. (optional) Here, you should know that there are some universities which demand acceptance letters while others do not require any acceptance letters.

Even If you are applying to a university that has a restricted number of seats available, all the same, send your acceptance letter; chances will be in favour of approval.

You are favoured if you try to get an acceptance letter while applying for any high-ranked university/university.

You can start writing cold emails to professors in the field you want to study at your target university. Make sure the email you send is unique and precise.

Pre-admission letter from the university at the place of destination is another important but not a must-have requirement.

The letter is sent to the university that receives you as a student But it is not as simple unless you have come from that same university and they know about your achievements. The benefit to doing so is it raises your odds of the scholarship being extended by that university.

Another important requirement is having a research publication or distinction, attach these documents and it really increases your chances of being selected.

If a certain Chinese University charges an application check or anything that requires payment or fees. Print its Receipt and staple it with the two copies of your documents listed above

However, it is recommended to select a reliable courier service in order to directly send all CSC scholarship application documents there to the location of that Chinese University so they can reach them on time.
