About the Rotary Peace Fellowship 2026-27
There are about 130 Rotary awards to leaders worldwide every year, for a Fully-funded Fellowship at any of the Rotary Peace Centers.
The Rotary Peace program, via academic training, practice, and worldwide collaboration, aims to create and encourage professionals to become effective tools for peace and development.
The Rotary Peace Center program began in 2002, and have successfully trained over 1800 fellows across 140 countries, that are employed in government parastatals as leaders, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Peacekeeping organizations, Education and Research communities, and international/ intergovernmental organizations like the United Nations, World Health Organization, and the World Bank.
The Rotary Peace Fellows are concerned with the work of peace, and are also dedicated to community and international services.
About 50 Fellowships are granted for Master’s degree programs and 80 certificate study programs at top-tier universities annually by the Rotary Foundation.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is a fully funded program, that includes tuition fees, round trip airfare, accommodation, field study fees, and several internship opportunities.
Level of Programs Available and Duration of Study of the Rotary Peace Fellowship 2026-27
- Master’s degree Program; with a well-informed research training technique, awardees study peace and development issues. The duration of the study is between 15 and 24 months, and it is a 2- to 3-month field study (designed by each awardee).
- Professional development certificate Program; this helps professionals with diverse backgrounds gain a practical skills set needed to promote peace within their immediate communities and regions. This one-year program includes an 11-week field work study, design, and also a social change initiative. This professional development certificate program is designed for employed professionals.

Eligibility Criteria for Rotary Peace Programs
Master’s degree applicants must;
- be trained in the English language (English Proficiency)
- be a bachelor’s degree holder
- have leadership skills
- a minimum of full-time work experience in peace and development issues
- have a record of outstanding community service
- not currently an undergraduate or enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate programs
- have a minimum of 3 years gap between their most recent academic degree program and the proposed date to begin the fellowship
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- not be an active member of the Rotary club, or employed by the Rotary club, or Rotary International
- Members of the Rotaract club that are not members of the Rotary club can also apply
Professional Certificate applicants must;
- be fluent in the English language
- be a bachelor’s degree holder
- have a minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience in peace and development issues
- a strong record of community involvement and service
- have leadership skills
- have a sketched out plan on how to promote peace within their communities, and this plan aligns with the Rotary Foundation’s mission
- not currently an undergraduate or enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate programs
- have a minimum of 3 years gap between their most recent academic degree program and the proposed date to begin the fellowship
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- not be an active member of the Rotary club, or employed by the Rotary club, or Rotary International
- Members of the Rotaract club that are not members of the Rotary club can also apply
