About the Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship 2025
The Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship aims to give female students from developing countries opportunities to benefit from the Master’s degree program at Durham University.
The Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate scholarship was established in 2018, as part of the 30 years of women students at Hatfield College celebration. This opportunity is proudly sponsored by alumni, friends, and other supportive bodies interested in the scholarship.
The Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship is very competitive, hence, it is only awarded to individuals with outstanding academic and personal qualities, and also to persons who will behave positively and act as good ambassadors for their home country in Durham University.
 The Hatfield College only awards the Lioness Scholarship to women who are willing to put in the skills and knowledge gained from the graduate program, and also the experience from Durham University, to benefit their communities and societies in their home country.Â

Eligibility Requirements for the Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship 2025
To be eligible for the Hatfield Lioness Postgraduate Scholarship 2025, applicants must;
- be or identify as a woman or female genderÂ
- not be a recipient of any other scholarship and/ or grant
- have applied for a Master’s degree Program in Durham UniversityÂ
- have been offered and have secured a place on their chosen master’s degree program on or before June 2025
- not be a master’s degree holderÂ
- be a bachelor’s degree holder in a course that is sufficiently standard to be admitted to their chosen course of studyÂ
- have the necessary qualifications, including an English Language qualification
- be a citizen of a developing countryÂ
